The Catchlight Show

A long, long time ago -- we're talking, like, six years -- I had a show on the ToutSuite network. Now, I realize you may have never heard of ToutSuite, but it was little ahead of its time. It was an online streaming network of shows based here in the Napa Valley (actually, in a large studio at the old tannery) which were all based on food, wine, and events in Sonoma and Napa. Winemakers, chefs, sommeliers, and a photographer would use the studio to create online content for YouTube. Unfortunately, the owners split apart before ToutSuite could have become something huge. This was before being a "YouTuber" was a thing, and I'm sure it would have been successful if they could have just held on.

It was a blessing for me as I got to rent a small office within the large studio, so I could use the larger space whenever I needed. Plus, my office was big enough to store all my gear and still have room to keep a bottle shot setup. Plus, it was lots of fun having all these people come through the studio. You'll see me in a lot of the videos in the background often with a glass of wine my hand and a smile on my face.

At one point, I was asked if I'd be willing to host to my own show. So once a month, I'd invite one of my fellow photographers if they'd want to sit down and talk photography in front of a live studio audience...
