One of the most challenging aspects to being a photographer is dealing with location. When on location, you have very little control over where to shoot. It's hard to find a blank wall with lots of space around it.
That's the issue I had when tasked to photograph a Grammy-nominated bluegrass singer/songwriter named Machael Daves. The offices where I had to shoot him didn't have many options. I moved some furniture around and took some pictures off the walls, so we'd have some space to shoot. I tried to light him in such a way that would hide the fact that we were in an office building.
